Chesterfield in Lowry injury blow

Jamie Lowry
Lowry has doubled his career goal tally in the first two months of this term

Chesterfield midfielder Jamie Lowry could be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The 22-year-old Spireites youth product ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during training and will see a specialist this week.

Lowry has played 117 times for his only club, scoring 12 goals.

Manager John Sheridan told the club website: "We are all very disappointed for Jamie as he was having such a good season but he will recover."
