Derek Niven was diagnosed with testicular cancer in November last year

Chesterfield midfielder Derek Niven could make his comeback next week after recovering from testicular cancer.

The 25-year-old was diagnosed in November but following successful treatment he will be back in full training on Monday.

"Having Derek back will be like having a new signing in the squad," said Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson.

"He's kept himself fit and it will be fantastic to have him available again." Richardson added.
