Matsos is confident of keeping his squad together |
Sheffield Steelers head coach Dave Matsos says he is not worried that teams in Europe and North America are looking at his players. And he is confident none of his squad will be poached before the signing deadline at the end of the month. Matsos told BBC Radio Sheffield: "If people are looking at us outside the UK and making movement then it compliments the squad and the management. He added: "I'm not worried about our line-up altering at all." The Steelers moved seven points clear at the top of the Elite League with back-to-back wins over Manchester Phoenix and Hull Stingrays at the weekend. On Friday, Brad Cruickshank scored three goals in the Steelers' 5-3 victory over Manchester. They followed that up on Saturday with a 4-0 win at Hull with goals from Doug Sheppard, Ryan Finnerty, Ashley Tait and Joey Talbot.
