Midfielder Peter Leven looks set to leave Chesterfield after rejecting the club's latest contract offer.

Spireites boss Lee Richardson said: "Peter has made his intentions clear that he hopes a club at a higher level will come in for him.

"We made an excellent offer but respect his desire to move on. We haven't closed the door on the matter but have to move on with our plans."

Scotsman Leven, 24, joined last summer and was a regular, playing 44 games.
