Chester City boss Simon Davies has confirmed that six of the club's young players have extended their contracts.
City have taken up their option to keep Sean Newton, Glenn Rule, Shaun Kelly, Paul Rutherford, Chris Holroyd and Paul McManus at the Deva Stadium.
"All of the younger players who have come into the squad this year have done extremely well for us," said Davies.
Both Kevin Roberts and owner's son James Vaughan have also signed two-year extensions to their current deals.
Davies was previously responsible for the flow of young talent into the first team.
He was Chester's Head of Youth before being given the manager's job at the Deva last month following the sacking of Bobby Williamson.
But, ahead of Saturday's crunch clash at border rivals Shrewsbury Town, he is yet to find a way to reverse the club's dismal streak of results.
Chester have won just twice in 23 matches since Christmas Day - and have picked up just four points from nine games under Davies, who was handed a two-year contract extension earlier this week.
One of those wins, at Mansfield, was Williamson's penultimate game before being given the boot. And the other, Davies's only victory in charge to date, came at home to promotion-chasing Darlington over Easter.
