Cheltenham Town sign Peterborough United's Danny Andrew
Andrew has been signed for a third time by Robins boss Mark Yates
Cheltenham have signed Peterborough full-back Danny Andrew on a two-year contract on a free transfer.
Andrew, 19, impressed in a 10-game spell on loan with the Robins last season having also played under manager Mark Yates at Kidderminster.
"It was probably 50-50 with me signing at Peterborough for another season," Andrew told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"I knew if I wasn't going to end up there I'd end up here [Cheltenham] and I want to come here anyway."
Andrew is Cheltenham's fourth new signing behind Brian Smikle, Jeff Goulding and Daniel Lloyd-Weston and takes the Robins squad up to 10 for next season.
He did well for us and he can only get better
Mark Yates
A left-back, he effectively replaces Lee Ridley after the long throw-in specialist was released at the end of last season.
Andrew is clearly a player Mark Yates clearly rates: "Danny's a player I know, I like what he's about he's a good defender, he's strong, he's got mobility, he's got a sweet left foot, he can tackle, he's got a good leap on him - there's potential there.
"He played a couple of games for Peterborough at the end of last season and did himself a lot of good, he did well for us and he can only get better."
