Reading striker Nicholas Bignall has been forced to return from a loan spell at League One side Cheltenham Town because of a groin injury.
The 18-year-old had two weeks remaining on his deal at Whaddon Road, but has now returned to the Championship club.
Bignall started eight games for Martin Allen's side, scoring one goal.
Meanwhile, Cheltenham have signed Royals defender Clovis Kamdjo on a work experience deal that will allow him to play in reserve and youth team games.
