Cheltenham Town want Bristol City striker Steve Brooker on loan again this season, and are close to making another signing.
After selling Steve Gillespie to Colchester, Cheltenham are keen to add two new strikers to their squad.
"We've agreed terms with a club and we're just talking personal terms with the player," chairman Paul Baker told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
"We're also looking in the loan market to see if we can bring Brooker back."
Cheltenham have already confirmed their interest in signing Southend United striker Gary Hooper, who scored 12 goals in 19 games while on loan at Hereford last season.
The Essex club value the transfer-listed forward at around 100,000.
Brooker scored five goals during his two-month loan with Cheltenham last season, helping them avoid relegation to League Two.
