Cheltenham Town chairman Paul Baker admits the postponement of Bristol Rovers' groundshare at Whaddon Road will hit the club's playing budget.
Rovers have announced a 12-month delay to the development of the Memorial Stadium after an investor pulled out.
They had been due to play in Cheltenham next season but will now remain in Bristol and Baker said: "It's massively disappointing for us.
"The revenue was significant and it leaves a big hole in our budget."
Baker added: "Next year was alwasy going to be difficult and the Rovers money was important to us. We did think it was a done deal.
"Sadly that isn't the case and it's disappointing that it's come out at this very late stage.
"We've already formulated our budget for next season and now we've got to look at it again. It looks like we will have to make some cuts.
