Bristol Rovers have confirmed they will play their home matches at Cheltenham Town's ground for up to two seasons while the Memorial Stadium is upgraded.
Cheltenham will receive a six-figure sum for the use of Whaddon Road after Rovers opted to share with them instead of Yeovil or Swindon.
"The decision was made with fans in mind as it is the easiest option for travelling," chairman Ron Craig said.
"The quality of the pitch was also a consideration," he added.
"We really appreciate all the backing they [the fans] have already given us and hope that they continue to do so while we play away from Bristol."
Cheltenham chairman Paul Baker revealed the financial aspects of the deal to BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "[The money] is towards the lower end of a six-figure sum.
"Hopefully we'll be able to put some of that into the playing squad but we need to know which division we'll be in before we start talking about budgets."
Baker also stressed that both clubs were doing "everything possible" to minimise the inconvenience caused to local residents.

"We have liaised closely with Gloucestershire Police and have confirmed with [Cheltenham] Racecourse that their car park facilities will be available on matchdays.
"A Park & Ride service [from the racecourse] will reduce traffic congestion near to the stadium," he said.
"We would like to welcome Bristol Rovers to Whaddon Road and hope that their supporters spend an enjoyable and successful two years with us."
