Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope wants to start planning for the future now the Memorial Stadium redevelopement is definitely going ahead.

Rovers could share with Cheltenham, Swindon or Yeovil during the rebuild, but no deal has been confirmed yet.

"The details of everything will be decided once we know where we're playing and what the projected income will be," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"It's important that the club continues to progress on the pitch."

"It's all right having a new stadium in 18 months or two years' time but you want to come into it still going forward. That's the crucial part from our point of view."

Trollope is hopeful that he and director of football Lennie Lawrence can firm up the future of the playing side of the club now the ground redevelopment plans have been finalised.

"We've talked about possible targets for the summer," said Trollope.

"The progression is important and that means from our point of view that it would be good for the playing budget to be as it is, if not a little bit more.

"Hopefully the cup run we've had had will help towards that."
