Injury to Charlton's Grant Basey not as bad as feared
Basey was carried off in the first minute of the game
Charlton full-back Grant Basey, who was stretchered off during the 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers, has ankle ligament damage, not a broken leg as feared.
Addicks physio Steve Allen told the club website: "Grant was taken to hospital but came back on the coach with the squad and is on crutches.
"We can't put a timescale on it, but it could have been a lot worse."
Basey was carried off after just 12 seconds following a tackle for which Rovers' Dominic Blizzard was booked.
