Celtic boss Lennon bemoans Hamilton referee decisions
Lennon was upset by some of the decisions at New Douglas Park
Celtic boss Neil Lennon felt his side suffered from poor decisions by officials as they drew 1-1 at Hamilton.
Lennon questioned calls by referee Willie Collum and one of his assistants during two incidents in the match.
"You're talking about big moments in the game again - Hamilton's goal, which shouldn't have been a goal, and penalty we should've had," said Lennon.
"It seems to be every other game now. I don't want to say too much as I'm in enough trouble, but it's frustrating."
In an extraordinary encounter at New Douglas Park, SPL bottom club Hamilton took the lead against the table toppers thanks to Simon Mensing's header on 28 minutes.
Celtic were reduced to 10 men when James Forrest was shown a straight red, but Hamilton were reduced to nine following straight dismissals for Jim McAlister and Mensing.
The latter player conceded a penalty in added time in the process, which Anthony Stokes scored to level the game.
Stokes had the ball in the net again before the final whistle, but the linesman flagged for the ball first curling out of play from the corner delivery.
Lennon feels Accies' goal should not have stood as Canning was interfering with play in an offside position when the initial cross came into the Celtic box.
"From what I gather he's blocking the view of my goalkeeper and maybe two or three yards offside," Lennon told BBC Scotland.
"The linesman is quick to see the corner that goes out for Stokes' goal at the end, but he can't see a blatant offside. Staggering."
In an incident-packed game, Celtic's Niall McGinn was also booked for simulation in the second half when he went down in the box and his team claimed for a spot kick.
Lennon was unequivocal about that incident.
"It was a penalty. A clear penalty," said the Celtic boss.
"There's no contact, Canning's not got the ball. He's taken Niall out and it's a penalty.
Despite narrowly avoiding defeat, Lennon gave a positive assessment of his team's display as they moved five points ahead of Rangers, who have three games in hand.
"I'm pleased with the performance. Just in the final third we were lacking some composure," said Lennon.
"The character and the football we played was very, very good against a team that didn't really want to come out and play at all.
"We have to tidy up in the final third. Defensively we're okay, but with the volume of possession we have we need to be more clinical on front of goal."
On Tuesday, Lennon was given a six-match ban for an outburst towards the fourth official, as he was sent to the stand during a match at Tynecastle in November.
That ban could be increased on Monday when it is expected that the SFA general purposes committee will examine comments the Celtic manager made after that match about the officials.
