By David McDaid

2205: So tonight's result leaves Celtic five points ahead of Rangers at the top of the SPL. But Rangers have three games in hand. Dundee United join Motherwell on 24 points in mid-table, although United also have two games on the Steelmen. Oh, and Stenhousemuir will play Stranraer in the Scottish Cup fourth round after beating Threave Rovers. There will be loads more reaction from the managers on the BBC Sport Scotland website. See you all later.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is yet again frustrated by officiating: "Just in the final third we lacked some composure. The character of the team was very good against a team who didn't really want to play at all. The linesman's quick to see Stokes' goal going out of play for his goal, but he doesn't see the offside at their goal. Staggering." Not only that but he is in no doubt that Niall McGinn should have had a penalty.

Hamilton Accies boss Billy Reid is in shock, I think. He says: "I can't really remember much from the last 20 minutes."

"Hi David, I'm a Rangers fan, but that would have been a travesty if Celtic had got nothing tonight. Mr Collum is supposed to be one of the country's best officials. Not on that showing." Neil, in Aberdeen via text on 80295
They had the bulk of the possession, but I just thought they had run out of ideas as Accies were defending so, so well. See 2131 entry... JUST before Celtic get their penalty. What do I know, eh?

My Sport
JodyMorris4England on My Sport says: "Wow. Carlsberg don't do late drama! (other alcoholic drinks are available)"
Thanks for the disclaimer at the end there... if you hadn't, I would've had to...

2147: Anyone got a brown paper bag? That was one of the most frantic finishes to a game I've seen in a long time. And there was a last-minuter at Tannadice too.

"That linesman couldn't see a player two yards offside yet could see a ball just out of play very, very strange. How eye sight worked at end?" Anton via 80285

"Why don't they just give Celtic the league now? Four minutes extra against Saints, a penalty and six minutes tonight? Get real..... I don't support Rangers....." George the Saints fan on 80295

"Thoroughly deserved win for Peter Houston's men. Motherwell were poor." BBC Scotland pundit Allan Preston watches Dundee United win 2-0 at Tannadice.

2142: Simply incredible stuff at NDP. League leaders down to the bottom club, three players sent off, penalty for Celtic at the death, and an injury-time goal ruled out for Celtic. If you're a neutral, what more can you ask for?

2141: I don't know about you, but I'm done in...

Full time
FULL-TIME: Hamilton Accies 1-1 Celtic

2140: Ball's in the net by Stokes!! But the ball curled out before it came back in play....

2139: Last chance for Celtic - corner...

2138: It's utter bedlam at NDP. Celtic throwing EVERYTHING at Accies. Just about done now though....

Full time
FULL-TIME Dundee United 2-0 Motherwell
David Goodwillie converts Stuart Armstrong's cross with a shot from eight yards to seal United's win.

GOAL Dundee United 2-0 Motherwell (David Goodwillie)

2136: Izaguirre comes close to a second for Celtic. Six minutes of added time at NDP. Amazing stuff!

Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
2134:Simon Mensing brings down Emilio Izaguiire who'd made the run from defence. Mensing is sent off, and Anthony Stokes steps up to stroke the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.

GOAL: HAMILTON ACCIES 1-1 CELTIC</CPS:EVENT>
PENALTY CELTIC - RED CARD HAMILTON

"I can't believe what I'm watching! Is Collum for real?" Jim in Edinburgh via 80295

2131: It's like the Alamo at NDP. Accies are defending desperately, but with two minutes to go I can't see Celtic making the breakthrough now.

2130: United goalie Dusan Pernis makes a save to deny Jamie Murphy who ghosted in at the back post to get in a header.

2128: Huge call by Willie Collum! Niall McGinn falls in the box under Canning's challenge. Collum waves away the penalty - rightly, good tackle - but McGinn gets a yellow although I don't think he dived.

2128: Almighty scramble in the Accies box. Ljungberg and McGinn both in there, but the home side clear again. Time running out for Celtic as Accies close in on a memorable win.

2127: Motherwell have thrown on striker Esteban Casagolda from the bench in an effort to turn the match around. they're down 1-0 to Dundee United.

2126: Double change for Accies - Kyle Wilkie and Damian Casalinuovo come on for Nigel Hasselbaink and Grant Gillespie. That should waste a couple of minutes.

2124: Cerny AGAIN to the Accies rescue. Fantastic ball slipped through by McCourt, McGinn runs on to it and Czech goalie's sharp off his line to deny the Northern Irishman. Less than 10 minutes to go now....

2122: I'm not ignoring the game at Tannadice... It's just that it's all gone a bit quiet. Still 1-0 to United v Motherwell.

2120: What a save by Cerny! Dougie Imrie goes to clear the ball inside his own six-yard box, smacks it off Stokes and it rebounds towards goal. The big Accies keeper throws himself to his left to palm the ball wide.

Full time
FULL-TIME: Threave Rovers 1-5 Stenhousemuir
(Stenny go through to meet Stranraer in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup)

2118: Ljungberg does indeed come on for Joe Ledley.

2116: I wonder if it will be much longer before we see Freddie Ljungberg on the pitch. He seems to the be the only attacking option on the Celtic bench... Hamilton are defending deeper and deeper.

2113: Timely block by Majstorovic as Paixao pulls the trigger for Accies about eight yards out. What an open game this is now.

GOAL: Threave Rovers 1 -5 Stenhousemuir (Jordan Smith)

2109: We're now watching 10 v 10 at NDP. Celtic put Niall McGinn on for Mark Wilson.

2107:
Red card
Well THAT is quite unbelievable! McAlister has only been on the pitch 35 SECONDS!!! But he can have no complaints about that. Absolutely shocking tackle right through the front of Mark Wilson.

RED CARD: ACCIES' JIM MCALISTER

2105: Accies make their first change - Jim McAlister on for Mark McLaughlin. Interesting as that is a winger on for a defender... Attack is the best form of defence perhaps?

"If Celtic had scored in similar circumstances, would there have been a song and dance about it? Don't think so." HappyAccie texts about their goal on 80295

"I'm sure Billy Reid will be delighted Celtic have gone down to 10 men, but not at the way they're performing right now. They're on the back foot." BBC Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod

2102: Celtic make their first change - Scott Brown comes on for Beram Kayal in midfield.

"Since Celtic went down to 10 men they've looked a far better side going forward." BBC Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod
Strange that, isn't it? It's not unusual for a team to play better after going down to 10 men...

2100: So the SPL leaders Celtic are a goal down and a man down to the bottom team, with 35 minutes to play in Hamilton. Could be an interesting night...

2056:
Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
It had been coming int eh first half, you felt... and United finally make the breakthrough when Johnnie Russell steals in to meet Garry Kenneth's knock, back across goal and head the ball in off the post.

GOAL: DUNDEE UNITED 1-0 MOTHERWELL (Johnny Russell)

GOAL: Threave 1-4 Stenhousemuir (Alex Williams)

2052: Accies' David Buchanan clears the ball up-field and Forrest steams in late catching with his trailing leg... referee Collum has no doubt it's a straight red, but to me it looked a bit harsh... Only my opinion folks having seen the slo-mo replays. Stupid challenge to make though.

Red card
RED CARD: CELTIC'S JAMES FORREST

2050: We're back playing at NDP and Tannadice... It's been a breathless start at Hamilton. A lot of the talk at half-time was about the Accies goal and the consensus seems to be it should have been flagged for offside.

GOAL: Threave Rovers 1-3 Stenhousemuir (Scott Dalziel)
Or maybe not... Stenny back in charge.

GOAL: Threave Rovers 1-2 Stenhousemuir (Andrew Donley)
Well, well - game on in the third round replay!...

"Oh dear! The My Sport server has crashed, wonder why?" from MallaigBluenose via text on 80295
I wonder why too! It is most annoying. We have our finest minds working flat out on a solution. So I'm told...

Half time
HALF-TIME: DUNDEE UNITED 0-0 MOTHERWELL

Half time
HALF-TIME: HAMILTON ACCIES 1-0 CELTIC

"Why can Celtic not raise their game against the so-called smaller teams, especially where Hamilton are in the league?" Chris via 80295 - a fed-up Celtic fan

2031: Beautiful reverse pass from McCourt to send Mark Wilson to the byeline, but his cross epitomises this first half for Celtic - it misses everyone in the middle and drifts over to the far touchline.

2029: Celtic boss Neil Lennon gets a ticking-off by referee Willie Collum. Another dismissal must be the last thing he wants...

"I think Neil Lennon will need to change it. The five across the middle has not worked, and they need someone to go beyond Stokes up front." BBC Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod

2026: Claims for a United penalty in Dundee after the ball appears to strike the hand of Keith Lasley. Nothing doing says referee Iain Brines.

2025: Motherwell's Ross Forbes tries his luck with a long-range free-kick but the effort sails over the crossbar.

2024: That wasn't a bad chance for Forrest. Mulgrew fires in a low cross, Cerny dives to beat it away from goal, but the Celtic youngster scoops his first-time effort woefully over tha bar.

2022: Motherwell striker John Sutton rises to head the ball against the post but the offside flag was up against the Englishman. I make that the first decent effort of the half for the Steelmen...

2020: Morgaro Gomis lashes in a shot and Darren Randolph dives to his right to make an excellent save.

Half time
HALF-TIME: Threave Rovers 0-2 Stenhousemuir (Scottish Cup 3R)

"Celtic manager Neil Lennon is irate on the touchline because that goal should not have stood. Martin Canning was in an offside position, interfering with play in front of play the goalkeeper." BBC Scotland's Chick Young, trackside at NDP.

2014
Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
Nigel Hasselbaink wins a free-kick on the Celtic right, in line with the six-yard box. Flavio Paixaio delivers the cross, which comes off Forster's shin and Mensing reacts to send a looping header inside the far post.

GOAL: HAMILTON ACCIES 1-0 CELTIC (Simon Mensing)

2013: Motherwell goalkeeper Darren Randolph blocks Prince Buaben's effort and then claims the ball at the second attempt.

2012: According to the statisticians, possession is 60/40 in Celtic's favour at NDP.

"I think Dundee United should be ahead, they've had a number of good chances." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Allan Preston

"What a let-off for the Accies!" BBC Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod

2009: Paddy McCourt goes on a mazy run to the byeline, cuts it back to the six-yard box, but Accies have so many players in front of goal that James Forrest's shot was snuffed out almost before it left his boot.

My Sport
CaymanArab on My Sport says: "Come on United! Following the live text from the Cayman Islands - and hoping the mighty Tangerines can get their first win of 2011!"
Glad you could join us, CaymanArab! Your team are looking sharp tonight - no goals yet though.

2006: Another chance for United... David Goodwillie bursts through the Motherwell defence and rounds Darren Randolph but the goalkeeper gets back to block the shot.

2004: Simon Mensing gets a glimpse at goal for Accies. He makes it to the edge of the box, but his shot is weak and Forster gathers easily. Still 0-0....

2003: Johnnie Russell is again causing problems for Motherwell, back-heeling the ball into the path of Prince Buaben, whose shot is tipped wide. you get the sense United are creeping ever close to making the breakthrough. Having said that, Motherwell will probably now score first...

2002: Dundee United goalkeeper Dusan Pernis appears to have a thigh problem and is electing to throw the ball out instead of kicking. He's a big player for United. The veteran Stevie Banks would be the replacement on the bench.

2001: Celtic's Stokes has the first shot of the game at NDP... cross-goal effort, it wasn't going in, but it worried Cerny who pushed it out for a corner.

2000: We've played 15 minutes and it's gone quiet at Tannadice after that early Johnnie Russell shot. Defences on top.

"Accies have looked promising on the counter." BBC Scotland commentator Liam McLeod

"Hamilton have so many players behind the ball. They're so well organised." BBC Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod

GOAL: Threave Rovers 0-2 Stenhousemuir (Ross Clark)

1955: Celtic are having plenty of early possession, but haven't troubled Accies keeper Tomas Cerny.

My Sport
wylie1985 asks on My Sport says: "Any news on Goodwillie tonight? Wasn't listed in the squad but is free to play? Rumours are he's in glasgow!" Any news on Goodwillie tonight? Wasn't listed in the squad but is free to play? Rumours are he's in Glasgow!
As we speak, Goodwillie is playing up front for the Tangerines at Tanny

1952: At Tannadice, Dundee United are SO close to opening the scoring as Johnnie Russell cracks a shot against the post.

1951: Over at NDP, Celtic nearly had red faces when Fraser Forster came to the edge of his box to collect a through ball and nearly spilled it as he tried to avoid handling outside his area.

1949: That was quick, eh? They wait about two months to get the game on and then there's goal within the first two minutes.

GOAL: Threave Rovers 0-1 Stenhousemuir (Ross Clark)

1946: Ok, games at Tannadice ad NDP are under way.

1945: Anyway, back to the ACTUAL football bit...

1942: CELTIC STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO SFA PRESIDENT GEORGE PEAT: "We find it slightly curious that once again SFA President, George Peat, has seen fit to involve himself by attacking Celtic in this way.
Particularly when there is an ongoing appeal against yesterday's judgement to impose a six-match ban on Neil Lennon."

My Sport
PrisonerSixofOne on My Sport says: "C'mon the Threave. I've been desperate for this game to go ahead. Finally the mighty Threave will get a chance to progress in the cup. You beauty!!!"

Dundee United make two changes with David Goodwillie back from suspension and David Robertson also reappearing. Barry Douglas and Scott Robertson drop out.
For Motherwell Marc Fitzpatrick who is out of contract, makes way for Ross Forbes.

He also said he found out about the Old Firm Cup draw WHILST he was sitting in the the disciplinary meeting.

1922: It's all been happening this afternoon. The SFA president George Peat lays into Celtic... and the SPL are examining a 14-team top league now.
My Sport
Have your say on My Sport

1917: Right... here's what we've got for you...
