Pacult was pleased with the behaviour of the fans this time
Rapid Vienna coach Peter Pacult was pleased that his side coped with Celtic Park's atmosphere - and that there was no crowd trouble like in 1984.
Pacult had been irritated at pre-match suggestions that the side he played for had cheated their way to a European Cup-Winners' Cup victory.
"I am a little bit surprised that there was not any aggressive behaviour like there was in 1984," he said.
"I am very pleased with the result and, most importantly, the performance."
Pacult had scored the only goal of the replay ordered in 1984 after team-mate Rudi Weinhofer claimed to have been struck by a missile thrown from the crowd during a 3-0 win by Celtic.
And the present team boss was himself kicked in the groin by a Celtic fan in that neutral third game at Old Trafford.

The Austrians' present side now sit top of Europa League Group C after two games and their coach was pleased at the way they had responded to a crowd willing their team to avenge what they viewed as an injustice 25 years ago.
"When it went 1-0, it took some of the pressure off us," said Pacult.
Speaking through a translator, the Rapid coach expressed his pleasure that British grounds were no longer marred by violence.
"The atmosphere in British stadiums is not as aggressive as it was 20 years ago," said Pacult, whose team knocked out Aston Villa in the qualifiers.
"There used to be much more enthusiasm. That's not to say there is not enthusiasm today, but football here has learned from the problems in the 1990s.
"Half the fans were not old enough to come to the stadium 25 years ago. It's a new generation of fans."
