Mowbray blamed an individual error for Rapid Vienna's opener
Tony Mowbray accused his Celtic side of shooting themselves in the foot at home once again as they drew their Europa League match with Rapid Vienna 1-1.
"A bit of frustration, disappointment," was the manager's reaction. "I think we did enough to get the three points over the 90 minutes.
"And yet, in the last three home games, we've shot ourselves in the foot."
Mowbray expected Andreas Hinkel and Paddy McCourt, both left out the team, to be fit to face Rangers on Sunday.
"It would have been too much of a gamble to play them," said the manager as the Scottish Premier League leaders prepare to face the reigning champions.
"If they had played, they would not have been able to play on Sunday and hopefully they have a chance for an important game at the weekend."
I judge on performances and the performance level was very high
Celtic manager Tony Mowbray
Mowbray said it was an individual error that cost Celtic dear, the goal coming after a pass from Stephen McManus went astray.
"Don't play silly little balls into their midfield," he said.
"The individuals who have made the mistakes have got to concentrate better.
"Within five minutes, we've lost a goal at home and had to go chasing the football match.
"That's something we need to address very, very quickly, stop giving teams a goal start, particularly counter-attacking teams like Rapid Vienna, who come and flood everybody behind the ball and try to hit you on the break."
Mowbray was, however, remaining positive despite Celtic sitting bottom of Group C with just one point going into back-to-back games against Hamburg.

"I judge on performances and the performance level was very high," he said.
"We face a very, very difficult fixture against Hamburg, who are probably favourites for the group and undoubtedly the club with most resources.
"But I don't sit here and get concerned about things. There's enough evidence to suggest we will give Rapid problems in Vienna and I know we can give Hapoel problems here."
Scott McDonald equalised for Celtic and the striker believed his side should have gone on to win the game.
"We're disappointed not to get three points in the end," he said.
"After the goal, we looked in control, but we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net."
