Didier Agathe has been sidelined under Gordon Strachan |
Celtic defender Didier Agathe has accused manager Gordon Strachan of forcing him out of the club. Agathe, 30, has made only four substitute appearances since Martin O'Neill departed in the summer and is currently on trial with Middlesbrough.
Agathe said: "Strachan never gave me a chance. He always said I was injured. That is wrong - I am in great shape.
"My dearest wish is to leave Celtic as quickly as possible. I cannot stay here another six months."
The Frenchman, who is out of contract this summer, has been with Boro in Marbella since the start of the week and had been wanted on loan by Leeds United.
Agathe joined Celtic from Hibernian in 2000, having first arrived in Scottish football as a striker with Raith Rovers after leaving Montpellier.
