Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott has issued a call for increased support at Brunton Park.
The Cumbrians have made an unbeaten start to their new League One season and lie second going into Saturday's home game against Brighton.
"We're desperate to get more in because an extra thousand fans works out at about twenty grand extra in terms of finance," Abbott said.
"That's a six-month loan deal for a player, that's the role they can play."
Carlisle have an average attendance of 5,604 from their opening three league games this season.
Everyone is saying nice things about the club and I think people are saying that we're not a bad team now

"I've a massive understanding of finances and the way things are at the moment," Abbott said.
"The club has managed itself well in terms of finance but unless it comes in then it can't come out.
"That's why we want everyone to come down, enjoy what we're doing and help the club go a bit further," he added.
Carlisle were backed by a travelling support of around 2,500 in their 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday last weekend and Abbott is hoping they will help encourage others to attend.
"They are seeing a team that is rolling up their sleeves and performing and I think they're appreciating that," he said.
"I think they're showing more belief in what we're doing and a better understanding of how we're trying to do it."
He added: "Everyone is saying nice things about the club and I think people are saying that we're not a bad team now."
