Defender Danny Livesey agrees new Carlisle United deal
Livesey made 38 League One appearances for Carlisle this season
Carlisle United defender Danny Livesey has signed a new two-year deal at Brunton Park.
Livesey, 25, has been with the Cumbrians since completing a loan move from Bolton in December 2004 and was happy to extend his stay further.
"I've had a fantastic time with this club, and it definitely doesn't feel like I've been here for over five years," Livesey told the club website.
"I'm obviously delighted that this has all been sorted out."
The Salford-born defender has overseen Carlisle's progress from the Conference to League One since his switch, and was a key figure in the side that made it to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Southampton this season.
And Livesey is determined to keep the club moving forward having agreed new terms.

"We worked hard last season, and I think the trip to Wembley, the way we played in the other cup competitions and the fact that we finished mid-table was a reward for that," Livesey added.
"Now it's just a case of improving on it again, and that's what the focus will be on when we come back in July."
Livesey has become a regular fixture in the plans of manager Greg Abbott, who saw the retention of such an important player as a priority this summer.
"Danny is a strong character and he takes that type of attitude out of the dressing room and onto the pitch. He always gives everything and the players around him respond to that, so we're pleased that he has decided to stay with us," Abbott said.
"He isn't afraid to battle and put his body on the line, and sometimes you need that.
"I'm delighted that he will be with us and I'm looking forward to working with him again, starting in July when we get back for what will be a tough pre-season."
Those not to be offered new deals include full-back Evan Horwood, defender David Raven, striker Scott Dobie and goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley.
