Raven extends Cumbrians contract

David Raven
Raven made the most league appearances for Carlisle last season

Carlisle United defender David Raven has signed a one-year extension to his contract that will keep him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2010.

The 24-year-old joined Carlisle from Premier League side Liverpool in July 2006, after just four appearances.

Since his move to Cumbria, Raven has been a regular at right back, and has made more than 120 appearances for the club, scoring once.

He started 41 league games last year, more than any other Carlisle player.
