Myrie-Williams played under Ward while on loan at Cheltenham
New Carlisle United signing Jennison Myrie-Williams says the club's manager John Ward was a big factor in his move.
The Bristol City forward, 20, who has joined on a one-month loan, played under Ward at Cheltenham last season.
"We've kept in contact since I was at Cheltenham," Myrie-Williams told BBC Radio Cumbria. "He's a good manager and I enjoyed playing for him.
"I heard about a possible move in pre-season which came to nothing but I'm delighted to finally be here."
Myrie-Williams began his career as a trainee with Bristol City and made his senior debut against Southend on the final day of the 2005/06 season.
This is the last year of my contract at Bristol so I need to be playing and I know I'll be playing at a good level here

He also had a three-month loan spell with Tranmere Rovers during the 2007/08 season where he made 23 starts, scoring three times.
The Bristol-born player has just returned to Ashton Gate from another one-month loan spell at Cheltenham Town, after which Ward made his approach to bring the player to Brunton Park.
"I'm here for a month initially," he said. "It was meant to be for three months but the manager at Bristol City [Gary Johnson] said he only wanted it to be a month to start with, which I can understand.
"I'm just here to play football, play well and and whether I'm here one month or three, I'm just happy to be here.
"This is the last year of my contract at Bristol so I need to be playing and I know I'll be playing at a good level here so it's a good move for me."
