Carlisle 1-2 Tranmere

Ian Moore and Ryan Shotton were on target as Tranmere deservedly earned their second away win of the season.

Moore scored in their first attack of the game when his shot deflected into the net off defender Richard Keogh.

He then tested keeper Ben Williams with a 20-yard shot before producing the cross which Shotton glanced home.

Carlisle were disappointing in attack and sub Danny Graham's late tap-in after the ball came back off the woodwork was only a consolation.
