Cardiff City manager Dave Jones says the Bluebirds will find it hard to refuse a substantial transfer offer for Cameron Jerome in the January window. Jerome, 19, scored his 12th goal of the season on Saturday and has caught the eye of Premiership scouts.
Jones insists he wants to keep his leading scorer, but said: "Every footballer has his price.
"If a Premier club comes calling it is very difficult to keep hold of any young player," said Jones.
"I would prefer to add to the squad, but to do that I may have to let one or two players go as I will need to generate money in order to spend."
Jones said his first priority is to attempt to extend Michael Ricketts' loan deal from Leeds, which expires after Monday's game at Championship leaders Reading.
"I would like to keep him but it's complicated," said Jones. "At the moment we only pay a certain amount of his wages and if Leeds want the full whack, we can't do it."
