Cambridge United 'desperate' for result - Simon Russell

Cambridge United midfielder Simon Russell claims his club are in 'desperate' need of a win after a 2-1 defeat by Bath City on Saturday.
The result leaves Martin Ling's side just two points clear of the relegation zone in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Russell told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Confidence is definitely low, and the last three results are not good enough and we are struggling in those games.
"We're in desperate need of a result to kick-start our season."
The 25-year-old added: "The worst case scenario would have been to take a draw but then it's a sucker punch in the end.
It's just so disappointing because we're working really hard and getting no reward

"We've got to go to Hayes and Yeading (on Tuesday, 5 October) and we need to kick on because we need a run desperately now. We need that run of results.
"We've got a great squad but maybe been unlucky with a few injuries. It's just so disappointing because we're working really hard and getting no reward."
