A second-half brace from defender Fraser Franks helped AFC Wimbledon earn a hard-fought victory over Cambridge.
The U's had the best first-half chances, Danny Wright hitting the bar and flashing a shot wide, though Sammy Moore also went close for the Dons.
Franks' second-half header then put the hosts ahead and Cambridge fell apart.
Christian Jolley nodded in Ryan Jackson's cross to double their advantage and Jolley turned provider as he supplied Franks for his second.
