Cambridge United boss Gary Brabin says his side are battling the weight of expectancy every time they walk out onto the pitch this season.
The play-off chasers overcame struggling Grays 1-0 on Tuesday.
Brabin told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "There's a massive, massive expectancy on us to win games, but we have no divine right to win games.
"But we're working hard and we're getting our just rewards, it's a real team effort."
The U's spent 35 years in the Football League until being relegated to the Conference in 2005.
They regularly attract among the largest crowds in the league and Brabin has said in the past that he is delighted to be working at such a 'big' club.

The win over Grays was their fourth away success in a row in the Blue Square Premier.
Brabin was pleased to see Scott Rendell find the net for the third time in three matches, and was also impressed with the work of his defenders.
"We've got two consecutive clean sheets which I'm really pleased about as well, this was a tough and well earned three points," he said.
Brabin suffered his heaviest defeat in his time as Cambridge boss against Crawley in the FA Trophy earlier this year.
The U's were hammered 5-0 at the Abbey, and the two sides meet again in the league on Saturday.
"I won't be getting too emotional about the game, the Trophy game is in the past and we're looking forward to Saturday's match," he said.
