Brabin's side have not lost at home in four months
Cambridge United boss Gary Brabin believes Thursday's 1-1 draw against Oxford was a point gained rather than two points lost.
Paul Carden scored his first goal for the U's with a second-half stunner.
Brabin told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Oxford aren't a bad side and that's not a bad result as long as we can start taking wins away from home.
"We just wanted to put the Wrexham game behind us, if we can win on Sunday it will have been a good couple of days."
The U's are now unbeaten at home since September, but will need to improve their away form if they are to mount a serious play-off challenge.
Oxford dominated in the first half, but the U's managed to turn things around after the break.
"I just felt like they were getting joy when things were central, so I said cut it down to one and two touch and get it wide cause that's where we were hurting them," Brabin said.
Brabin had praise for his assistant Paul Carden, who launched the equaliser mid-way through the second half.
"He was outstanding today, I fancied him to score today as he'd been excellent with his shooting in training all week," he said.
