Cambridge United defender Josh Coulson says he cannot wait for the Boxing Day derby with local rivals Histon.
The U's overcame the Stutes 3-2 in the FA Trophy earlier in the month, but the two sides are yet to meet in the league this season.
Coulson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It maybe means a bit more to the local lads like me and Dan Gleeson."
"But everyone else knows the meaning of the game and will be up for it as much as we are."
Coulson is a U's academy product and has made three starts for the first team so far this season.
Cambridge are currently sixth in the Blue Square Premier, and will be looking close the gap on their local rivals who are in second.
"We'll be in Christmas Day, we'll be preparing right and aiming to get a result," Coulson said.
Coulson was handed a surprise start in the 4-0 win over Salisbury on Saturday after Phil Bolland fell ill in the warm-up.
The 19-year-old says he is always ready to step into the side should he be needed.
"I always prepare right the day before a game and it was nice to be rewarded with a clean sheet as well," he said.
