The 18-year-old defender, who made his first start for the club on 6 December against Kidderminster, signed his first professional contract in the summer.

"It would mean the world to me to have success here," the boyhood U's fan told the club's official website.

"When I was a youngster I watched from the stands and I've seen some of the bad times, and it would be brilliant to be part of the good times."
