Bury full-back David Buchanan praised the quality of on-loan Blackpool striker Daniel Nardiello after Saturday's 2-0 win against Barnet.

The forward has scored four times in five outings as the Shakers have risen to eighth place in League Two.

Buchanan told BBC Radio Manchester: "He's such a natural finisher. He's come from the Championship, where he's played all his career.

"And the majority of chances he's had he's put them in the back of the net."

Buchanan added: "It's been a great boost for us in terms of us having a few injuries and he's come in and done well.

"It's good to have competition for places especially for a centre forward because it keeps them on their toes.

"If they don't score and don't play well then the chances are they're not going to be playing next week."
