Mansfield Town youth team manager Gareth Holmes has left the Blue Square Bet Premier club to manage Burton Albion's centre of excellence.
The former Ilkeston Town midfielder joined the Stags as first-team coach in May 2009.
He had to take up his post with the youth team after the appointment of former Blackburn coach Duncan Russell as the new assistant manager this May.
The 27-year-old also had a spell as a player at Hucknall Town.
