Burton Albion striker Greg Pearson should shake off a hamstring injury in time to face both Port Vale and Notts County over the festive period.
Pearson, who hit a hat-trick in the 6-1 win over Aldershot, would have missed Saturday's game against Cheltenham but the game fell foul of the weather.
Pearson told BBC Radio Derby: "I'm hopeful for the weekend. It's okay.
"To miss games when you hit a bit of form is a blow so the game being called off was a bit of a blessing."
