Burton Albion striker Richard Walker hopes his goal in the 1-1 draw with much-fancied Notts County will kickstart his Brewers career.
Walker, 31, joined from Bristol Rovers in July and has only started two of the club's eight games this season.
But he came off the bench to grab the equaliser at Meadow Lane on Saturday.
And Walker told BBC Radio Derby: "It was nice to come on and put a little reminder in the gaffer's head, get a goal and get off the mark."
Walker's goal means Burton have now picked up six points from their first six League Two fixtures.
"We've proved that we are more than a match for anyone in this division on our day," Walker said.
"We just have to work hard and make sure we don't switch off in games."
