Elmas won the Turkish Super Cup with Galatasaray last season

Burton Albion boss Paul Peschisolido will take a closer look at trialists Ferdi Elmas and Nick van Eijsden in a reserve game against Derby next week.

Midfielder Elmas and striker van Eijsden are both products of the Ajax youth set-up but are without a club.

The pair played around 70 minutes of Burton's reserve match against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday.

But Peschisolido wants to take another look before deciding whether to bring them to the Pirelli Stadium.

Former Galatasaray player Elmas was born in the Netherlands and played for the Dutch under-17s.

But the 24-year-old has dual citizenship and went on to play for the Turkey under-21 side.

Meanwhile Burton's veteran defender Marc Edworthy, 36, is looking for a new club after being told he will not be offered terms following an initial one-month contract.
