Burton boss Nigel Clough has failed in an audacious attempt to bring former Derby and Middlesbrough striker Malcolm Christie to the Pirelli Stadium. The injury-plagued 28-year-old was released by Boro in the summer but Clough said he will not be joining.
He told BBC Radio Derby: "We've made contact with Malcolm and he's got a (Football) League club lined up.
"If anything happens and it falls through we'd love him to come down but I don't think that's going to happen."
