Burnley have signed former Bournemouth goalkeeper Jon Stewart on a one-year contract after a successful trial.
The 22-year-old, who was a free agent, featured in three games as a late substitute at Bury, Torquay United and Oldham Athletic.
Clarets manager Eddie Howe told the club website: "We knew Jon from our time at Bournemouth and he is very talented young lad.
"He has all the tools and you only need to see his size to realise that."
Stewart, who is 6 feet 4 inches, was sacked by Bournemouth in April for misconduct.
"He is only 22, in goalkeeping terms he has a lot of time left in him and we feel he is a goalkeeper of huge potential," added Howe.
Stewart started his career with Swindon in 2006 and has also played non-league football for Weymouth.
He will provide back-up to Burnley goalkeepers, Brian Jensen and Lee Grant.
