Burnley midfielder Chris McCann has agreed a new two-year deal which will keep him at Turf Moor until the summer of 2013.
The 23-year-old, who missed the majority of the last two seasons with a knee injury, made a goalscoring return against Derby in April.
"The club has been good to me since I've been here," McCann told the club's official website.
"They've stuck by me and shown how highly they regard me."
He added: "It was nice to get back and play four games at the end of last season and to get the goal was the icing on the cake.
"I'm looking forward to working hard now and cracking on with the season."
McCann has made 175 appearances for Burnley, scoring 21 goals.
