Burnley manager Brian Laws cautious over transfers
Burnley have won 10 of their 38 games under Laws' management
Burnley boss Brian Laws has said he has money available to bring in new signings during the January transfer window, but only if the price is right.
The Clarets announced pre-tax profits of over £14m on Tuesday, but Laws says that does not mean he will pay excessive transfer fees.
"There's nothing stopping us from spending money if it's necessary," Laws told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"But our goal is to have a stronghold financially for years to come."
He added: "There's nothing majorly wrong with the team, although another player might trigger things to get the consistency of winning games."

Laws, who took over from Owen Coyle in January, has guided Burnley to ninth in the Championship - one point off the final play-off spot.
And he remains confident he can return the club to the top flight after just one season in the second tier of English football.
"We do want to get back into the Premier League because it's an important part of any football club," said Laws. "But you don't want to lose money, you want to gain it.
"I've set the bar high. We all agreed in the summer that we had to set our stall out and set targets and every player believes we can do it.
"The one thing is we are a very confident bunch of people and I'm extremely delighted with the efforts the players are putting in."
