Rodriguez and McCann helped Burnley win promotion last season
Burnley have given Jay Rodriguez and Chris McCann new deals and are reportedly close to signing Reading defender Andre Bikey.
Striker Rodriguez, 20, and 22-year-old midfielder McCann have both penned new two-year contracts with the Premier League newcomers.
When asked about Bikey, Clarets boss Owen Coyle said: "There are players out there who could enhance the squad.
"Time will tell if the aforementioned player is one of them."
Rodriquez, a 6ft 1in front man, progressed through the youth ranks at Turf Moor.
He was predominately used as a substitute by Coyle last season, his first goal for the club coming with an 88th-minute winner against Fulham in the third round of the Carling Cup.
McCann was another to come through the Burnley youth system and the Irishman has been a regular over the past four seasons.
Reading signed Bikey for £1m from Lokomotiv Moscow in April 2007 after a season-long loan at the Madejski Stadium.
The 24-year-old Cameroon international is understood to have a £3m get-out clause that expires in a year's time but Reading manager Brendan Rodgers claims the player is staying put.
"We've had a couple of inquiries with regards to Andre but there's nothing to report," Rodgers told the Reading Chronicle. "He's here with us."
Bikey was sent off in the first leg of Reading's Championship play-off semi-final against Burnley at Turf Moor in May for a stamp on Robbie Blake.
He then left the field in a fit of rage after tearing off his shirt, which resulted in his subsequent ban being extended to five matches.
