Burnley have signed Manchester United reserve team defender Richard Eckersley on a four-year deal.
The 20-year-old turned down a new contract at Old Trafford but the Clarets will have to pay compensation to United because of the player's age.
He made his debut as a second-half substitute in an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Tottenham in January.
The first of his two Premier League appearances came three days later as a substitute against West Brom.
The right-back is Burnley's fifth summer signing after the arrivals of Tyrone Mears, Steven Fletcher, David Edgar and Brian Easton.
