Made over 400 appearances for Burnley (Burnley FC)
Burnley legend Martin Dobson has been appointed as director of youth development at Turf Moor.
He made over 400 appearances for the Clarets during two spells at the club in the 1970s and 1980s.
"I'm absolutely delighted. The enthusiasm is still there, especially coming back to my old club," Dobson told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"I've never really been away from the club, so there's going to be familiar faces but also some new ones as well."
Dobson takes up the full-time role from 1 September with his prime responsibility being to oversee the recruitment of young players and help the youth development team.
The former England midfielder, who has previously been filled a similar role at Bolton Wanderers, is looking forward to developing potential stars of the future.
"It's the exciting thing at youth level, whether they can realise their potential," he said.
"They need a lot of luck, they've got to have the ability and all the other qualities needed like dedication, determination but also a terrific attitude towards the job."
