Burnley pair agree new contracts
Burnley pair Kyle Lafferty and Michael Duff have agreed new three-year deals with the club.

Duff's contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but the 28-year-old defender has signed on until 2010.

Striker Lafferty, 19, whose previous deal expired in 2009, has also committed himself until 2010.

"I am delighted to have signed both players on longer contracts," said manager Steve Cotterill.

"First of all, to have someone as young as Kyle come through the youth ranks and be in the first team squad as a striker is excellent.

"We are delighted with his progress and look forward to him playing a bigger part in the future of the club.

"I think Michael has to date probably been our most consistent player. I think quite probably over the last month a little rest might have helped him.

"He has played an enormous amount of football this season with the internationals and we are delighted to have secured his services for another three and a half years."
