Thomas undergoes knee operation
Wayne Thomas
Thomas' surgery was a success
Burnley defender Wayne Thomas faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing a cartilage operation on a knee injury.

He sustained the injury in the 0-0 draw against Colchester last month.

"Wayne damaged his knee at Colchester and once it had settled down and the swelling had gone we got him scanned," said Burnley boss Steve Cotterill.

"He had another scan on Monday and went for an operation when he recieved the the results. The operation was a success and now he is rehabilitating."
