Mikkel Andersen keen to extend Bristol Rovers loan
Andersen has been first-choice keeper at Rovers since he arrived
Bristol Rovers' on-loan goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen says he would like to extend his stay beyond his current three-month deal.
The 21-year-old joined from Reading in September and is due to return to the Championship side on 1 January.
He told BBC Radio Bristol: "I've said to Reading and to Paul Trollope that I want to stay here and play games.
"I've been open and honest and said to Reading if I can't play games then this is a great club for me right now."
Andersen continued: "It's really out of my hands now but I'm enjoying playing for Bristol Rovers.
"We've got a good season going on here, we've got a good team and I want to be part of it."
Rovers have shown some good home form recently with four straight wins.
But they travel to Tranmere on Saturday looking for their first away victory since beating Southampton at the end of September.
"We need that little edge away from home and we have good travelling support so hopefully we can give them something back on Saturday," added Andersen.
"I think the whole squad are looking forward to push on from last weekend."
