Dickson content at Bristol Rovers

Chris Dickson
Dickson has scored three goals in three games for Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers on-loan striker Chris Dickson has dismissed speculation that he might be moving on after his three-month contract is up at the club.

There has been talk that Gillingham are desperate to re-sign the 24-year-old who had a spell with them in 2007.

"I just want to hit my targets and if I do the club are going to win more games," Dickson told BBC Radio Bristol.

"As long as the club are winning games I'm happy and there's no need to go anywhere else."

Dickson made an explosive start to his Bristol Rovers career scoring two goals in 30 minutes on his debut against Brentford.

He followed that up with a goal in the dramatic midweek 3-2 victory away to Southampton when Andy Williams scored the winner in the sixth minute of added time.

"I know what it feels like to score in the 90th minute and the goal that he scored was sensational," added Dickson.

"We were all ecstatic and when we got into the changing room and realised the other results had gone our way we were over the moon.

"We've got some big games coming up but these are the ones we want to play in.

"If we can beat sides like Norwich, Southamton, Leeds and Charlton we'll be at the top of the table."
