Bristol Rovers centre-half Craig Hinton hopes his performance in the 2-0 win over Tranmere can earn him a regular spot in the Pirates' starting XI.
Hinton was recalled for Saturday's win at the Memorial Stadium and helped Rovers keep their first clean sheet in seven games.
He told BBC Radio Bristol: "It was a good team defensive display.
"I was disappointed to be out of the team, but I knew my chance would come again and luckily I've taken it."
Hinton had been left out of the Rovers starting line-up for their previous two League One fixtures, against Millwall and Hartlepool.
