Midfield trio to stay at Robins

Bristol City duo Cole Skuse and Ivan Sproule have signed new deals to stay on at Ashton Gate and Marvin Elliott has verbally agreed to a new contract.

"Marvin should sign early next week when he comes back off holiday," boss Gary Johnson told the club's website.

"Those three have been a part of what we've done over the last couple of seasons and I'm pleased that they're still at the club."

Midfielder Elliott has been linked with a move away from the West country.

Skuse, 23, came through the ranks and has made 163 appearances for City.

Northern Ireland international winger Sproule, 28, signed from Hibernian in the summer of 2007 for £500,000 and has played 85 games for the club.

Elliott, like Sproule, signed for the Robins in 2007 on a free transfer from Millwall and has become a key player in his two seasons at the club.

The club turned down an approach for Elliott during the January transfer window, but has recently been linked with moves to West Brom, Wolves and Blackburn.
