Bristol City defender Jamie McCombe is set to be out for around three weeks after undergoing surgery on stomach and pelvis injuries.

Physiotherapist Nick Dawes told the club's website: "I was there with Jamie and everything seemed to go fine.

"The consultant said the surgery was a success and he should be back in action in around three weeks time."

McCombe, 23, has made 104 appearances for City since moving to Ashton Gate from Lincoln in May 2006.
