Carey has scored once this season

Skipper Louis Carey will miss Bristol City's home clash with high-flying Burnley after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season at Ipswich.

Carey must serve a one-match ban and is ruled out of the game on 20 December.

The Robins defender is already rated doubtful for Saturday's Championship trip to Sheffield Wednesday as he is suffering from a dead leg.

The injury forced him off at half time of the 3-1 defeat at Portman Road on Wednesday night.

The veteran has played in 13 league and two cup games this season.
