Gary Johnson feels City will mount another promotion challenge

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson says his players are determined to go one better after losing last season's Championship play-off final.

After seeing his players return for pre-season training on Tuesday, Johnson said: "Consolidation is no good. The aim is automatic promotion.

"When the boys start their bleep tests Wembley could not be further from their minds," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"They're looking forward to playing in what we're calling Premier League Two.

Johnson added: "Birmingham, Derby, Reading, Swansea and Nottingham Forest make the Championship even stronger that last season."
